Danielle has been a part of the OAI team for eight years. In June 2007, she assumed the first Department Head position at OAI, taking on the oversight of the Nonprofit Management and OAI Administration departments. With over 12 years of experience in nonprofit management, event management, cause-related marketing, development management, strategic planning and board development she brings valuable insights into the specific needs of our clients which allow her to effectively consult on a wide variety of issues relevant to the nonprofit industry.
Danielle has direct experience overseeing the financials, communications, marketing, general administration and database maintenance efforts for organizations such as the Deafness Research Foundation, Youth, I.N.C. and American Friends of the Czech Republic.
In her eight years at OAI, Danielle has served in a variety of positions for the company. In her role as Senior Director, she focused on building the company’s business lines and ensuring that our clients received the best possible service. As a Director at OAI, she managed a variety of clients including: King Hussein Foundation International, The Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Foundation, Marriott Bridges Foundation, Youth, I.N.C., Deafness Research Foundation, SeaWord Foundation and American Friends of the Czech Republic.
Before joining the OAI team, Danielle worked for Share Our Strength in Washington, DC in the cause-related marketing department managing the American Express, Tyson Foods, SYSCO Corporation and Samuel Adams accounts. She also spent two years at a full-service advertising agency, W.B. Doner & Company, in Southfield, Michigan. She managed the La-Z-Boy Brand, Coca-Cola and Minute Maid accounts.
In 2002, Danielle completed the Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate program at Georgetown University. This course gave an overview of the current state of the nonprofit sector, best practices within the sector and provided valuable insights into effective leadership and management skills.
A graduate of Northwestern University, she competed as an NCAA swimmer for the Wildcats. She continued her love of swimming by working as the Assistant Women’s Swim Coach at Princeton University from 2005-2006, and now works with the Georgetown University swimming teams.
