Janice Cori - Director

Janice Cori joined the OAI team in February 2008 as a Director of Marketing and Development. She brings more than 11 years of professional and volunteer nonprofit experience. Prior to OAI, Janice was the National Director of Special Events for the American Diabetes Association (ADA). At ADA, she oversaw a $20 million walk fundraising campaign focusing on product development and strategy, marketing, corporate recruitment, online initiatives and staff training.

Before ADA, Janice worked as a Development Manager for Food & Friends, a nonprofit organization where she was responsible for raising funds for people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging issues. One of her focuses at Food & Friends included website development, online fundraising and e-communication. In 2004, she co-presented an online fundraising and e-strategy session at the Direct Marketing Association’s Nonprofit Conference in Washington, DC.

Janice holds a B.A. in Educational Studies from the University of Delaware, a Graduate Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the University of Massachusetts and a M.A. in Women’s Studies from the George Washington University. Currently, she is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and volunteers for a small DC-based nonprofit called Critical Exposure.
