OAI is excited to announce the launch of our new, redesigned website, www.oai-usa.com. This new site provides information on our many services and clearly demonstrates OAI’s significant impact on the nonprofit community.
The website not only features OAI’s services and clients, but it also includes up-to-date information and resources specifically tailored towards recent trends and happenings in the nonprofit sector. The News & Resources section provides relevant articles and the opportunity to sign-up for the OAI eNewsletter.
It can’t go without saying that OAI’s redesign would not have been possible without the helpful feedback from many of our clients and colleagues. We thank everyone who took the time to answer our survey, which provided our team with essential guidance while developing the site.
Within the next few months, our website will continue to grow with toolkits, client success stories, OAI event updates and more! Be sure to stop by www.oai-usa.com to check out what we’ve been up to with our nonprofit clients and what’s new at OAI!

On October 30th, OAI partnered with Leadership Greater Washington to co-host a breakfast presentation entitled “Funding the Mission – From Vision to Reality.” The interactive session, lead by John Bauser, OAI Department Head of Strategy and Development, was designed for LGW members and guests who work for or serve on the board of one of the region’s many fine nonprofit organizations.
The breakfast focused on the board’s role in providing the resources necessary to fund the organization’s mission. During the presentation, participants examined recent trends in philanthropy, explored board and staff responsibilities in generating charitable contributions, learned how to create a culture of philanthropy in their own organizations, discovered the six tools that board and staff members can use to overcome their “fear of fundraising” and applied what they learned to “real life” case studies.
Immediately following the presentation, participants were given the opportunity to consult one-on-one with our experts, OAI’s Managing Directors and Department Heads. The morning event was a great success and drew an engaging and diverse crowd.
Be sure to stay tuned for future presentations hosted by OAI and other area experts. |

Q: What brought you to OAI?
A: A teacher by training, I enjoy helping others reach their goals through the development of best practices. Throughout my fundraising career I have searched for an environment where I could offer my knowledge and expertise in an effective and efficient way. After my first discussion with the OAI team, I was instantly intrigued by the OAI model and wanted to learn more. OAI is able to offer amazing expertise to its clients on many levels and does so in a team-oriented fashion, something that is increasingly rare these days. It is truly a pleasure to work here everyday.
Q: Any favorite client memories?
A: The first investment that was received for the U.S. Biovigilance Network for AABB is a great memory. Watching the team’s hard work produce such a great reward was a wonderful feeling.
Q: On a personal note, you just ran your 10th marathon! How did it feel to achieve that accomplishment?
A: Crossing the finish line of my tenth marathon this past spring produced many emotions, the most important of which was pride in myself for setting a goal and achieving it. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of being cheered into the end of the race and knowing that you’ve accomplished something incredible!
