The Kingsbury Center

Our Challenge:
The Kingsbury Center is an independent educational institution serving children and adults with learning difficulties in the Washington , DC area. Under the leadership of a new CEO and Head of School, Kingsbury hired OAI to provide outsourced development support.

Our Solution:
OAI works with the staff at Kingsbury to provide a comprehensive solution and lend expertise to the development efforts at the Center. We focus on the four most important aspects of Kingsbury's fundraising efforts: fundraising leadership, development and solicitation; annual fund strategy and management; foundation and corporate grant proposal writing and submission; and major gifts strategy and solicitation.

The Results:
In fiscal year 2008, OAI helped Kingsbury raise nearly $400,000 from corporate, foundation and individual donors. As we move into the next fiscal year, OAI will help Kingsbury streamline their board structure and fine-tune their fundraising volunteer structure. In addition, OAI will continue to focus on securing gifts for Kingsbury, with a goal of raising $550,000 in fiscal year 2009.
