National Society of Collegiate Scholars
Our Challenge:
National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) is the leading national honor society for first and second year college students, including students in the top 20 percent of their class at over 200 universities and colleges nationwide. NSCS wanted to diversify their revenue streams in order to stop relying so heavily on membership dues, and engaged with OAI to help determine the best set of feasible and realistic additional funding options.
Our Solution:
OAI produced an Audit Report and a Development Plan for NSCS that recommended several options for increased revenue. Following the audit, OAI created a complex and comprehensive Development Plan focused on the strategic enhancement of NSCS' corporate partnership program, recommended several traditional fundraising options and provided a summary of the initiatives necessary to implement the corporate partnership program as well a proposed budget for the first year of execution.
The Results:
NSCS now has a one year Development Plan inclusive of a timeline and budget for immediate implementation. While OAI provided strategic oversight to build a new and exciting fundraising program, the NSCS leadership was able to focus on relationships with their existing partners. In addition, NSCS now has a prioritized list for additional funding initiatives with a strategic rationale for each.
"We've worked with OAI for many years now, and the longevity of our partnership is no accident. They consistently provide a level of effort and excellence that, year after year, yields outstanding events." -Mark Donovan, Vice Chairman, Marriott Foundation for People with Disabilities
