Biography

Lauren Newman joined the OAI team as a Senior Associate Director of New Business and Communications in November 2011.  In this role, Lauren works with the Senior Leadership at OAI to expand the company’s presence in the Washington, DC and New York markets.

Her responsibilities include working with the OAI Management Team to drive new business development, as well as create and manage an overall communications strategy for the firm, which includes the website, e-newsletters, company events, brochures and other marketing materials.

Prior to arriving at OAI, Lauren worked at several Washington, DC law firms including Blank Rome LLP, Arnold & Porter LLP and, most recently, Miller & Chevalier Chartered in a business development and marketing capacity.  She began her career working for the International Law Section of the American Bar Association doing international conference planning.

Lauren graduated from James Madison University in 2004 with a B.A. in Political Science, concentrating on political communications. In 2011, Lauren earned her Masters of Professional Studies in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University, where she serves as an ambassador to the program. In her spare time, Lauren enjoys traveling, dancing, spending time with family and friends and rooting for her home team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
