Biography
As a Senior Associate Director of Marketing and Development, Mirjam serves a variety of nonprofit clients in the areas of event fundraising and management, campaign management, development management, strategic planning and online marketing.
Since joining the OAI team as an Associate in 2005, Mirjam has worked with a number of OAI clients, including Friends of the National Library of Medicine, DC College Access Program, American Association of Blood Banks, Higher Achievement Program and United Cerebral Palsy, among many others.
With a background in computer science, Mirjam also manages the OAI IT Department and assists many of our nonprofit management clients with their IT needs.
A native of Estonia, Mirjam graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from American University in Washington, DC. In her spare time Mirjam enjoys traveling, learning new languages, outdoor sports, cooking and entertaining. In addition to her love of sports, Mirjam is committed to riding her bike to work every day.
Calling on OAI’s fundraising expertise and capabilities for outsourced development work, in October 2011 the American Red Cross in the National Capital Region engaged OAI to serve as an acting Chief Development Officer.
