Rachael Burke

Biography

As an Senior Associate Director, Rachael Burke has assisted a number of OAI’s nonprofit clients in a variety of areas, including strategic planning and development, communications, event fundraising and nonprofit management.  While Rachael is actively engaged with two OAI clients, she also manages the human resources, new business and marketing efforts internally at OAI.

Since joining OAI in May 2007 as an Associate, Rachael has enjoyed building her fundraising and development expertise through her project work with such clients as Youth, I.N.C. (Improving Nonprofits for Children), Mary’s Center for Maternal and Child Care, Society for Hospital Medicine, The Fishing School, Sitar Arts Center, Lisner-Louise-Dickson-Hurt Home and The Excel Institute.

Prior to arriving at OAI, Rachael worked as a Senior Marketing Associate at The Corporate Executive Board (CEB). While at CEB, she managed and executed marketing campaigns to a pool of Finance Executives within the Fortune 500 and Global 3000, and secured over $500,000 in revenue in the second half of 2006.

Rachael graduated with a B.A. in psychology from the University of Virginia in 2006, where she was a varsity swimmer and a six-time NCAA All-American. She was heavily involved with the student-athlete community and promoted volunteer and fundraising events such as Shoot-Out-For-Cancer, which annually raised $10,000 for the Jennifer Fund.

Originally from the DC area, in her spare time, Rachael enjoys cooking and spending time with friends and family, kayaking on the Potomac and traveling when she can.
