Biography
Annie Pope joined the OAI team as a Nonprofit Management Associate in March of 2011. She provides support for her internal teams and clients in the areas nonprofit management, development management and marketing. Annie has partnered with a number of clients including Youth, I.N.C. (Improving Non-profits for Children), the YWCA, the 92nd Street Y and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Prior to being hired as an Associate, Annie worked as a Development and Marketing Intern at OAI.
Since her undergraduate studies, Annie has been active in the nonprofit world. In 2010, Annie lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina and worked as an intern at Canada Fund for Local Initiatives, a local grant office of the Canadian Embassy. As an undergraduate, Annie was a program and development intern at AMIDEAST, a nonprofit organization promoting cooperation between the U.S. and the Arab world through education, information and development programs. She also worked at the Center for Democracy in the Americas, a local nonprofit working to improve U.S. relations with Latin America.
Annie graduated magna cum laude from American University with a B.A. in International Relations and a minor in Arabic Studies. A native of Washington, DC, Annie enjoys baking, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
