Biography

As an Associate Director, Barb has had the opportunity to team with many nonprofits on a range of assignments including nonprofit management, event fundraising and management, campaign planning, development management, development audits and strategic plans.   

Since joining the OAI team as a Nonprofit Management Associate in September 2009, Barb has worked with a variety of clients, including the Marriott Foundation for People with Disabilities, the Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund, Friends of the National Library of Medicine, The Churchill Centre, American Floral Endowment, Capital Partners for Education, GuideStar, the YWCA National Capital Area, The Phillips Collection and Youth, I.N.C. (Improving Non-profits for Children),

Prior to arriving at OAI, Barb was a development intern at Americans for the Arts, COLLAGE: The Art for Cancer Network and WVSA ARTs connection.

Barb graduated cum laude from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Art History.  During her time there, she was active in Best Buddies and gained experience in fundraising as an alumni caller for Georgetown’s Annual Fund.  In her spare time, Barb enjoys running, yoga, visiting art museums and staying involved with her alma mater, where she is an applicant interviewer, a member of the Villa le Balze 100th Anniversary Committee and a Co-Chair of the Class of 2009 Committee.
