Biography

Emily Haggerty joined OAI as the Office Manager in October 2011.  In this role she oversees the building management and provides finance and human resources support to the OAI team. Her experience includes five years of office and operations management in both for-profit and non-profits environments.

Prior to OAI, Emily worked for Hunger Free Vermont, an education and advocacy organization. As the Administrative Manager she oversaw all IT, facilities, and accounting support as well managed the human resources department and Board of Directors relations. She was also an integral part of the renaming and branding of the organization, producing an educational art exhibit, and launching a statewide video campaign highlighting successful partner programs.  She also spent three seasons with the Vermont Mozart Festival and one year building administrative practices for a start-up renewable energy engineering firm.

Emily graduated from the University of Vermont School of Business Administration. During college she discovered her passion for volunteering and has worked with a broad range of organizations including the IRS, United Way, American Red Cross, CarShare Vermont, Vermont 211, and served on the advisory board of the Winooski Public Library. Her free time is spent exploring the DC metro with her husband, Toby and her dog, Ninja, sewing, dancing, and learning about wine.
