Biography
Sarah Leibach joined the OAI team as a Marketing and Development Associate in September of 2011. She assists with development management, nonprofit management and event management for a number of clients, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, the YWCA National Capital Area, and Youth, I.N.C. (Improving Nonprofits for Children). Before being hired as an Associate, Sarah worked as an OAI Development and Marketing intern.
Prior to OAI, Sarah co-founded The George Washington University chapter of Camp Kesem, a nonprofit organization that hosts one-week overnight summer camps for children whose parents have or had cancer. As founder and co-chair for three years, she oversaw the organization’s fundraising operations, formed relationships with hospital and community partners, developed marketing strategies to recruit campers, managed and trained student volunteers, and planned and lead all programming activities during the week of camp. While at GW, Sarah also interned with Chris Wayne & Associates to help produce Comedy Central’s Rally to Restore Sanity, where she provided backstage assistance and oversaw all volunteers at the event.
Sarah graduated magna cum laude from The George Washington University with a B.A. in Political Communication. Originally from Chicago, Sarah enjoys cooking, spending time with friends and family, and exploring D.C.
"We've worked with OAI for many years now, and the longevity of our partnership is no accident. They consistently provide a level of effort and excellence that, year after year, yields outstanding events." -Mark Donovan, Vice Chairman, Marriott Foundation for People with Disabilities
